Employee engagement. Reconnecting, building trust and creating value
Shona Elliott is a Canadian currently based in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was in the process of setting up her own business to help CEO’s with employee engagement and goal alignment when Covid-19 hit. She had also just written her first book Create Value as a Senior Leader.
An experienced senior executive, Shona is passionate about helping other senior leaders connect and engage with their employees. Her aim is to increase employee retention and employee engagement whilst achieving organisational strategic goals.
Shona spent fifteen years as a senior leader in healthcare and for-profit organisations in Canada and the U.S. where she helped organisations achieve cultural renewal with a people-centered focus. To help her understand her employees perspective and their thoughts and fears, Shona would shadow them. By 'walking in their shoes' she could personally connect with them. At the same time she could bring the organisation's mission alive and understand the impact her decisions had on them.
Shona previously worked and lived in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, where she obtained her Bachelor’s of Science, Honours Degree in Biochemistry. She holds an MBA from NYIT, an advanced program certificate in human resources management from the University of Toronto, and obtained her certification as an ISO 9000 auditor.
