Dr Thackeray talks about the debilitating effects of stress and anxiety on the immune system and the role exercise, good breathing, sleep and laughter all play in helping it work to optimum effect. He also talks about how changing the way we eat, as well as what we eat, can help and provides some ideas on different therapies and supplements that could play a role.
Dr Thackeray has recently opened the Port Solent Therapy and Wellness Centre in Portsmouth where one of the things he advises on is nutrition and its role in keeping the gut healthy, something that plays a key role in boosting the immune system.
