Liz Martell runs her own coaching and personal development business and is passionate about helping people to improve and develop themselves and their businesses.
After 16 years working in a corporate training role, Liz wanted to find something that gave her more flexibility. She also felt the level of impact she was having in a large, rapidly growing organisation was diminishing. She made the leap and set up her new business just as Covid-19 hit.
Although the timing wasn’t ideal, Liz feels the impact on her hasn’t been as bad as it could have been. People now seem to want coaching that is less corporate and more personal that can help them be as successful as they want to be. Liz also feels that the effect and help she can give to a small business owner is far greater and more authentic than in her previous corporate career.
People at the top of a business are often the least developed people. There is always talk about an investment in their people but business owners also need to invest in themselves. In business planning there is always talk about the vision and mission along with the objectives that feed into them. It’s exactly the same for personal development.
