Max Schneider - Creating new solutions for burnout

Max Schneider’s story is one of profound transformation. After a decade in consulting, Max Schneider was totally burnt out. The long hours, back-to-back-to-back meetings, and high stress took a heavy toll. He started experiencing anxiety attacks and felt like a shell of his former self.

To help untangle his brain, Max and his wife took a month-long surf and yoga trip to Costa Rica. It was an incredible experience, providing the space to slow down and focus on himself in a way he hadn’t in a long time. As soon as he returned, Max was inspired to create the same type of experience for other high- achieving professionals. Sand and Salt Escapes was born and Max is now on a mission to transform the way professionals approach their well-being, reconnect with themselves, and find synergy with their peers in settings beyond the ordinary.

Max knows what it’s like to work in high-pressure environments and the impact that intentional time away can have on calming the nervous system and his approach is grounded in the belief that investing in the well-being of individuals ultimately leads to greater organisational success.
