Rob Swymer - Overcome adversity and build resilience

Like most people, successful executive, life strategist, and author Rob Swymer has gone through his share of adversity in life. Rob married his first wife Bonnie at the age of 21 during the summer of his college junior year and together, they had 3 children. In 2013, Rob lost Bonnie to a massive brain aneurysm and he learned that all the adversity in his life prior had given him the strength to endure the loss of a loved one.

A seasoned sales executive of over 40 years, Rob embodies a servant leadership mindset. He leads his teams with empathy and applies the lessons learned from his adversity to help others build resilience and thrive, not only in business, but in their personal lives as well. He has enjoyed success in both small startups and larger companies, most recently in London as group vice president for a publicly traded company based in San Francisco. Rob is a certified life coach and a frequent speaker about overcoming adversity.

For the last five years Rob has lived near Jacksonville near Florida, more recently with his new wife Melissa with whom they have a blended family. Rob feels it is a wonderful ending to a tragic event and that the rise is always sweeter than the fall. In this podcast:
